4 Hot Spring 2013 Makeup Trends

There are only a few more weeks of winter left, so it is time to start thinking about the different spring makeup trends that are becoming popular. Spring screams brighter colors, so do not be afraid to take out your brightest eye shadow and lipstick shades. Here are four hot spring makeup trends you should try.

Orange Lips

Orange lips sound a little intense, but they are actually very hot this season. This bright lip color can brighten up your entire face and make your lips pop. I really like MAC Lipstick in "Neon Orange" because it is incredibly pigmented and goes on very smoothly. Make sure to line your lips with a nude lip liner beforehand and keep the rest of your makeup simple.

Nude Nails

Forget about hot pink and blue nail polishes this spring and opt for nude shades. A nude nail polish can look very pretty and natural; it can also make your nails appear longer. My favorite nude nail polish would have to be Orly Nail Polish in "Country Club Khaki." It is a beautiful almond color that is very opaque.

Green and Blue Eyes

Do not hesitate to take out your blue and green eye shadows this spring because they are totally in. These bright shades look flattering on almost anyone and can really make your eyes stand out. You can even wear both of these eye shadow shades at the same time. For example, you can apply a medium blue eye shadow across your eyelids and sweep a turquoise eye shadow along your creases.

Thick Eyebrows

If you are famous for overplucking your eyebrows, stop right now. Very skinny eyebrows are out and thick eyebrows are in this spring season. Allow your eyebrows to grow out a little bit so that they frame your face nicely. If they are a little sparse, fill them in with an eyebrow pencil that matches your natural hair color.
