From this season's color blocking to fall's metallic shades, nails have been stealing the spotlight. And now, with an emerging trend of extra-long nails, they're taking it more ferociously than ever.
I first caught on to the talon trend when I saw backstage pictures from New York Fashion Week Fall 2011, and when celebrities like Katy Perry and Rihanna flashed their claws at this year's Grammy Awards. Since then, manifestations have ranged from the raunchy to the terrifying.
Where will this long nail trend wind up?
One thing is for sure, catfights just got a lot more dangerous.
